Local Activities

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a stone’s throw from Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow and the A30, Tregawne is accessible to all of Cornwall’s treasures from Lands End to Bodmin Moor.

Walking & Cycling Breaks

There is excellent walking on the doorstep, including the The Camel Trail and the Saints Way (one mile away) and the Coast Path (only 25 minutes away). If you fancy a two-wheeled adventure cycle the picturesque Camel Trail that runs from Padstow to Bodmin (one mile away). Bikes are available for hire in Wadebridge.

Golf

Your host David is a member of St.Enodoc and Trevose Golf Clubs. He is happy to arrange golf at these world-class courses for a discounted rate (parties of up to 16 people), and there are many other courses nearby.

Surfing

There is fantastic surfing at Polzeath, Newquay and Watergate Bay (25-30 mins away). Lessons and surfboard hire are available.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at Tregawne Cottages and there are lovely walks in the area.

Eden Project & Cornwall’s Gardens

The Eden Project is just 20 minutes away, and Tregawne is close to many more of Cornwall’s beautiful houses gardens (see www.gardensofcornwall.com for a full listing).

Art Courses

Artist Janet Shearer, author of 'The Art Of Illusion', holds art courses just 1/4 mile away (01208 831926 for more information).

Shooting & Fishing Breaks

Tregawne is perfectly situated for local shooting parties. See www.cornishshooting.com for more information. There is excellent salmon and sea trout fishing on the Tamar (ends mid Oct), Camel River and the River Fowey (both end in Dec) rivers.

Restaurants & Pubs

Rick Steins Seafood Restaurant and other first-class eateries are within arm’s reach at Padstow; and there are plenty more foodie hotspots on the doorstep that we can recommend.
